One of the top advantages of living in Vancouver for the winter is being only one and a half hours (read: depending on how fast you drive) away from one of the most beautiful mountains in the world: Whistler, Blackcomb. On December 10, 2011, my girlfriends and I packed up our gear and beer and headed up to the mountains for the weekend. We were off to a slow start, waiting for a very hung-over/still drunk friend outside her apartment. After 30 phone call/buzzers and a pep talk, we managed to wake her ass up and get her in the car. I must say, with only forty five minutes of sleep, she still skied/partied like a champ! We hit up Whistler on Saturday and did après ski with a couple Boos in the hot tub at Blackcomb Lodge. Nothing beats a brew and hot tub after a long day of riding! That night, the ladies and I went out to Crystal Lounge for drinks and live music, courtesy of amazing singer/songwriter Rachel Thom. Unfortunately, Cariboo was not on the drink menu, but clearly that is something that needs to change. Next time you’re at Crystal, ask for a Cariboo! Let’s get it on tap! Also, ask for Baby C, let’s get her on stage!

For day 2, half the group went riding on Blackcomb and the other went for brunch/massages/sex toy shopping in the Whistler village. Obviously, I went riding and brought a can of Cariboo up to the mountains for a refreshing bevy on the peak to peak. Although the conditions were sub-par, the sunshine was beautiful! My fav run of the day: 7th Heaven. We teamed up with some other buddies and upgraded our après ski to the Fairmount hot tub. Once again, sipping on a Boo while chilling in the hot tub. I couldn’t ask for a better weekend with my girls!
